At the foot of Mount Pelée, the Martinique Zoo is home to fascinating species and invites you to immerse yourself in nature in a historic setting.

A haven of biodiversity in the north of Martinique

The Martinique Zoo extends into the heart of the former Habitation Latouche, a site steeped in history surrounded by tropical gardens. This unique space combines animal park, botanical garden and 17th-century ruins, offering a rare immersion in the nature and heritage of the island. There are species from Martinique, animals from Latin America and biodiversity representative of the Caribbean.
Located a few minutes from Saint-Pierre, this green place offers a shaded route through tropical vegetation. A true haven of biodiversity, the site raises awareness about the protection of tropical species.

An immersive visit surrounded by nature

The visit to the Martinique Zoo takes place in the heart of a tropical garden, surrounded by dense vegetation and historical remains. The route of about 1.5 km allows you to discover the fauna, flora and the ruins of Habitation Latouche, one of the oldest on the island.

A complete experience for families, schools and the curious, with a path designed to welcome people with reduced mobility.

The Martinique Zoo is part of this new generation of zoological park that is committed to the protection and preservation of wild fauna. As such, various partnership actions with recognized associations are carried out here in the Antilles but also all over the world.

It also technically and financially supports a large number of research and conservation programs in Situ and Ex-Situ.
